In this work, vanadium oxide coatings were deposited on FTO glass substrates by hydrothermal synthesis varying the pH solution with hydrochloric acid. The coatings were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The effect of pH solution on the morphology and electrochemical properties of the samples are considered. It was found that the rhombohedral structures of NH4V3O8 enhance the electrochemical properties compared to the hexagonal ones.
